1.2.Library OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog)
Click on Library link in order to access features under Library. Clicking on the Library link will display the sub link under the Library.
Click on Library Setting link in order to access Library Setting page as per shown in figure below.
Click on Patron Profile link to access Patron Profile page.
1. Click on Add New Patron Profile.
Verify that New Patron Profile form appear as per shown in figure below.
2. Enter profile name
3. Choose material type
4. Enter borrowing period
5. Enter max renewal
6. Enter renewal period
7. Enter reserve period
8. Enter maximum books
9. Enter fine (RM per day)
10. Enter fine (RM per hour)
11. Barred fine (due)
12. Barred fine (RM)
13. Choose material type can borrow. Books, CD/DVD, Dissertation and Journal (multiple type can be chose by holding control key).
14. Choose tag can be borrowed. Multiple tag can be chose by holding control key.
15. Choose subject can be borrowed. Subject can be chose by holding control key.
16. Click Save button
Newly added patron profile will be displayed in the list.
1. Enter profile name in Profile Name field
2. Click Search button
3. Verify that specific Patron Profile List will appear
To manage profile list, go to Patron Profile List. Click on Update link to Update the patron profile information. Verify Information on that particular Profile List appear in each item field. Edit any data in the field item and click Update button. Verify data is updated.
Click on Patron Setting link to access Patron page.
To search the patron information, refer steps below.
1. Enter patron name
2. Enter matrix no
3. Click Search button
The patron information will be displayed in the patron list.
To add new patron, below steps should be taken.
1. Click on Add New Patron link to access Add New Patron page.
2. Enter patron name
3. Enter matrix no
4. Select patron profile
5. Select status
Verify new patron record successfully added.
To amend the patron information, go to the Patron List and click on Update link. Verify Information on that particular patron will appear in each item field. Edit any data in the field item and click Update button. Verify data is updated.
Click on the Subject link. Verify Manage Subject page will be displayed. Verify list of Subject appear in the screen.
Each item entered in the system can be tagged to the subject. To search the subject, enter subject name or subject code field. Click on the Search button. Verify subject information will appear in the Subject List.
1. Click on Add New Subject link
2. Verify Add New Subject form appear.
3. Fill up the form as per below
• Enter subject code
• Enter subject name
• Click Save button
Verify previously added record appear in the Subject List
1. Click Update link to update Subject.
2. Make changes in subject data.
3. Click Save button
Verify subject is successfully updated.
1. Click Delete link to delete subject information.
2. Verify record is deleted.
Example of Tag are "Open Shelf", "Reference", et cetera. The tag will be tied to each item under those tags to easily verify whether the particular item can be borrowed or only for reference and et cetera. Click Tag link to access Tag page.
Search Tags
To search the tag, enter tag code, tag name or tag color field. Click on the Search button. Verify tag information will appear in the Tag List.
1. Click on Add New Tag link
Verify Add New Tag form appear as per shown in figure below
2. Fill up the form as per below
• Enter tag code
• Enter tag name
• Enter tag color
Click Save button.
Verify previously added record will appear in the Tag List
1. Click Edit link to update Tag information.
2. Make the changes on tag code, tag name or tag color
3. Click Save button
Verify tag is updated.
1. Click Delete link to delete tag information.
Verify record is deleted.
Holiday setting is for the purpose of rent out days calculation. Once public holiday is set, days of calculation will be skipped for public holiday in renting days.
Click on the Holiday link. Verify Manage Holiday page will be displayed.
1. Click on Add New Holiday link
2. Verify Add New Holiday form appear
3. Fill up the form as per below
• Enter holiday event
• Select date from the calendar
• Click save button
4. Verify previously added record appear in the Holiday Date list
1. Click Edit link to update Holiday date and event
2. Change date by choosing the calendar
3. Click Save button
4. Verify holiday event is updated
1. Click Delete link to delete holiday information
2. Verify record is deleted
Click Course link to access Course page. To search the course information, enter course name or course code field. Click on the Search button. Verify Course information will appear in the Course List.
1. Click on Add New Course link
2. Verify Add New Course form appear.
3. Fill up the form as per below
• Enter course code
• Enter course name
• Click Save button
Verify previously added record appear in the Course List
1. Click Update link to update course information.
2. Make changes on course code and course name
3. Click Save button
4. Verify course information is successfully updated
1. Click Delete link to delete course information
2. Verify record is deleted
Click Supplier link to access Supplier page.
To search the supplier information, enter supplier name and click on the Search button. Verify supplier information will appear in the Supplier List.
1. Click on Add New Supplier link.
2. Verify Add New Supplier form appear.
3. Fill up the form as per below
• Enter supplier name
• Enter contact no
• Enter description
• Select status
• Click Add buttonVerify previously added record appear in the Supplier list
1. Click Update link to update supplier information
2. Make changes on any supplier data
3. Click Update button
Verify supplier information is successfully updated.
1. Click Delete link to delete supplier information
2. Verify record is deleted

OPAC is an online database of materials held by a library or group of libraries. Users search a library catalog principally to locate books and other material available at a library.
Click on Library OPAC link in order to access Library OPAC page.
Item information can be searched using specific keyword or selected options as below.
- Title
- ISBN
- Author
- Publisher
- Item No
- Call Number
- Remarks
- Subject
- Type
- Course
- Status
Click on Search button to search specific item. The list of item will appear as below.
Click on Library Cataloging link to access Library Cataloging page.
Item information can be searched using specific keyword or selected options as below.
- Title
- ISBN
- Author
- Publisher
- Item No
- Call Number
- Location
- Tag
- Subject
- Status
Click on Add New Item in order to access Add New Item page.

2. Fill up the form as below

- Call Number

3. Click Add button
Verify added record appear in the New Item list.
1. Click Edit link to update Library item information
2. Make changes on any data in the form (item number will be automatically generated)
3. Click Update button to save the form
Verify Library item information is successfully updated.
1. Click Delete link to delete Library item information
2. Verify confirmation message appear in the screen
3. Click OK.
Verify record is deleted.
User may click on Patron Search link in order to access Patron Search page.
Patron Type is divided into three categories Staff, Student or Others. To search patron, user can choose patron type, enter keyword and select patron status. Press Search button to search the patron information. User can also view all list of patron information only by selecting any Patron Type radio button and press search button.
On specific search keyword using name, IC/Passport or Student ID, only one record will appear. Click the View Profile link in Result section. Upon clicking on the View Profile link user will be directed to Patron Profile page.
In the patron profile, user able to rent out, reserve and return items. User also able to view circulation info and history by clicking on the Circulation Info and History tab.
To rent out/borrow item, perform the following steps:
1. Enter the item number (Can be search in the Library OPAC)
2. Choose rent out option
3. Press Submit button to borrow the item
Verify, item list appears in the item borrow.
To reserve an item, perform the following steps:
1. Enter the item number
2. Select reserve option
3. Press Submit button to reserve the item
Verify item reserve will be added in the item reserve list.
To renew the item, user needs to:
1. Enter the item number
2. Select renew
3. Press Submit button to renew the item borrowed
or
Click on Renew link in the item borrow list to renew the item.
Patron who hasn't returned the book on time will be fined according to the patron profile tagged.
To pay the fine, user must return the item first. Refer below steps to pay fine.
1. Click on Pay button to access Pay Fine page
2. Select payment type
3. Select pay for item
4. Enter additional amount if any
5. Choose date of payment
6. Enter remark
7. Click Save button
Fine due will be deducted once payment is done.
Librarian may key in item number if patron wants to return items borrowed. However, using barcode scanner is suggested for this. Click on Return Item link in order to access Return Item page.
Below are the steps taken to return the item:
1. Enter Item Number in item number field
2. Click Return button
