1.Industrial Training Module

Training module provides function to track and manage information regarding industrial training of student. Clicking on Training link will be displayed sub link under Training module such as student search, student allocation, company management and report.



1.1.Student Search





Click on Student Search link to search information for specific student

Student information can be searched using name, IC/passport or student ID keyword in the search field.

1. Enter keyword in search field or
2. Click advanced search link to narrow down the search process
3. Select campus, faculty, program, intake, semester number or status dropdown list.
4. Click Search button

Verify search record will appear like example shown in figure below.

To access specific student profile, click View Profile link like shown in figure above. Student profile page will be displayed as per below figure.

Section 1 - This section which appears in box displays basic information for the particular student such as name, IC/passport number, student ID, program, faculty, intake, status, academic session and semester number.


Section 2 – This section displays information like training batch, company, supervisor, start date and end date of industrial training.

Click on Company List link to access Company List page. The purpose 
of this feature is to track and manage industrial training company information.




Company list can be searched using name in the search field.

1. Enter keyword in search field or
2. Click advanced search link to narrow down the search process
3. Select industrial category or location drop down list
4. Click Search button

Verify search record will appear like example shown in figure below.





Add Company





To add company, perform the following steps:



1. Click on Add Company link. Verify add new company form appears.






2. Fill up the form as below


• Industrial category

• Company name

• Address line 1

• Address line 2

• Postcode

• City

• State

• Country

• Contact person

• Phone contact person

• Email contact person


3. Click Add button

Verify previously added record will be added into the list



Update





To update the company information, perform the following steps:


1. Click on Edit link to update company information

2. Make changes on any company data

3. Click on Update button


Verify company information is successfully updated.


Delete




1. Click Delete link to delete company information

2. Verify record is deleted



1.3.Student Allocation

Click on Student Allocation link to access the Student Allocation page. It is used to manage 
student allocation into the company for industrial training. It is also used to assign student into particular supervisor.





Training batch list can be searched using:


1. Select academic session

2. Select company name

3. Click Filter button


Verify search record will appear like example in figure below.





Add Training Batch




To add training batch, perform the following steps:

1. Click on Add Training Batch link. Verify add training batch form appears.

2. Fill up the form as below:


  • Training batch
  • Supervisor
  • Company name
  • Academic session
  • Date from
  • Date end


3. Click Add button

Verify previously new training batch will be added in the list



Update



To update the training batch information, these steps should be taken:

1. Select Update in the dropdown list

2. Click go button

3. Make changes in any training batch data

4. Click update button

Verify training batch information is successfully updated



Delete




To delete the training batch information, perform the following steps:

1. Select Delete in the dropdown list

2. Click Go button

Verify training batch is successfully deleted



1.3.2. Manage Student


To allocate student into the particular training batch, supervisor and company for industrial training, user needs to follow the following steps:


1. Select Manage Student in the dropdown list

2. Click Go button  


Verify Manage Student form appears shown in figure below



Add New Student


In order to add new student in the batch list, the following steps should be perform:




1. Select desired faculty name

2. Verify only section within the selected faculty will appear in the dropdown list. Select section in the dropdown list.

3. Choose hostel

4. Click Filter button. Verify list of student will appear in the add new student list.

5. Tick.check on the checkbox and press Add button in order to add student.


Verify new student will be added into the list.
