Below are the differences of Barred (Fine Due) and Barred (Fine RM) in Patron Profile Settings.


Barred (Fine Due) [days]: Maximum day for patron to return borrowed items that exceeded the due date and pay a fine before being barred by system


Example:

Barred (Fine Due): 3 days

Borrowing Period: 7 days


Date Borrowed: 8/2/2016

Due Date: 16/2/2016


If student hasn't returned the item on 19/2/2016 onwards, the student will be barred from any transaction unless student return and pay the fine.


Barred (Fine RM): Maximum fine amount allowed for patron before being barred by system


Example:

Barred (Fine RM): RM5

Borrowing Period: 3 days

Fine (per day): RM0.50


Date Borrowed: 8/2/2016

Due Date: 11/2/2016


Fine Amount: RM5.50


Student will be barred on 11/2/2016 since fine amount has exceed the barred (fine RM).


Please be informed that student will be barred if the criteria meets either two settings; Barred (Fine RM) or Barred (Fine Due).
